Drama

We are excited and delighted to be partnering with the amazing Theatre Shed to run our Drama workshops from September 2022.

The Theatre Shed is an inspiring, inclusive, professionally guided theatre company and will be running our workshops as part of Saturday Club for young people aged 14 and over. The creative workshops will enable members to explore acting, singing, dancing and physical theatre and will be suitable for everyone. Our drama group will also put on shows, and we aim to collaborate across our Sing Out Loud Choir and Arty Craft Hub on our productions.

Using a peer mentoring model, the drama workshops will also provide opportunities for siblings, friends and volunteers to get involved. Training and supervision are provided for all mentors and includes inclusion, equality, safeguarding and safety.

Drama is part of our Saturday Club activities and is open to our members aged 14 and older – no experience needed.

Drama Group is held on the on the second and fourth Saturday afternoon of the month during term time at the Highcrest Academy, Hatters Lane in High Wycombe

What does the group do?

The group works towards an annual show, which has in previous years been hosted at the incredible Pipers Corner School Theatre near High Wycombe. Previous productions include Hairspray, Dr Who and The Greatest Showman.

Drama is open to those aged 14 and older – no experience needed.

Cost: £8 per session.

All our groups are subsidised by SBDSG, and we ask you to contribute if you can. However, we will not turn anyone away on ability to pay, just get in touch.
