Sing Out Loud Choir

Our newly established Sing Out Loud Choir is for young people (14+) and young adults as part of our Saturday Club activities.

Curly Cath from CreateED runs the choir and says it creates an opportunity for young people to socialise, sing and have fun using their voices to explore a wide range of music including pop, rock, folk, musical theatre and film songs.

Everyone is welcome. Makaton and musical instruments support the experience to make it multi-sensory, engaging, and accessible to all and enabling all involved to create their own music.

We have exciting ambitions to collaborate across the Choir, Drama and Arty Crafts Saturday Club groups on a production in the future.

The University of Oxford has published research showing that group singing has many benefits including forging social bonds and a sense of connection, improving breathing, posture and releasing muscle tension, stimulating cognition and generally improving mood, wellbeing and happiness. What’s not to like? We hope you will join us to Sing Out Loud.

Group Details

Sing Out Loud is part of Saturday Club for our members aged 14 and over.

It runs at 10am, usually on the third Saturday of the month term time only at the Hampden Way Family Centre, High Wycombe HP13 7TY (check our calendar for details).

We are delighted that a grant from the Rothschild Foundation will cover the costs of the group for two years and we are now able to offer Choir for FREE to our members (with optional donation to support venue costs if incurred). Thank you to Curly Cath for her work in securing this funding.

What to do next...
